Milo Con Yelo with Milo Jelly 🤎

Milo Con Yelo with Milo Jelly is a refreshing chocolate iced dessert combined with crushed ice, milo powder, sugar, evaporated milk and milo jelly. 


Milo has been part of many Filipinos lives. I still remember when my Nanay prepares hot milo drink every morning for my sister and I before we go to school during our elementary days. Nowadays, Milo is not just consumed for hot and cold drinks, but it is also used for dessert recipes. Two of these are Milo Jelly and the iced dessert Milo Con Yelo. When you combine the two recipes, Milo Jelly and Milo con Yelo, it creates a super delicious, nutritious and thirst-quenching iced treat that every kids and kids at heart will surely love. 😊

Ingredients:

For cooking Milo Jelly

6 cups of water
1 cup of milo powder
1 cup of sugar
1 sachet of jelly powder

For preparing Milo Con Yelo

Milo Powder
Sugar
Crushed Ice
Evaporated Milk
Milo Jelly

Procedure:

For cooking Milo Jelly

1. Pour-in 6 cups of water in a large pot. Add 1 pack of unflavored gelatin powder. Add 1 cup of Milo powder. Add 1 cup of sugar. Stir until the gelatin powder, milo powder and sugar dissolves.
2. Cook over medium heat once the ingredients completely dissolves. Stir constantly while cooking to prevent the gelatin from clumping up. Once it's boiling, turn-off the heat.
3. Transfer to a large tray. Let it cool and set. Slice into cubes once the Milo Jelly is firm. Set aside.

For preparing Milo Con Yelo with Milo Jelly

1. Crush the ice. Set aside.
2. Put 2 tablespoons of milo powder in a glass. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar. Add crushed ice but do not overfill the glass with crushed ice, then Add Milo Jelly. Swirl with evaporated milk. Top with milo powder. Serve and enjoy.
